Top heroines in respective languages are showing keen interest to play the role of Vidya Bagchi. Viacom 18 is keen in making a sequel to Kahaani and they are having talks with Sujoy Ghosh. With Kahaani turning out to be a modern classic, the makers want to take the franchise forward.

Sujoy is currently penning the script for Kahaani sequel. Of course Vidya Balan will be playing the lead in this film too. The director wants to make this film as suspenseful and tense as the original. So the script might take some time to start rolling.
