2 States film is back to square one as Imraan Khan opted out of it. This Karan Johar’s production based on Chetan Bhagat’s popular novel was supposed to be made with Shah Rukh Khan earlier. But SRK wasn’t keen in doing the film.

Karan Johar planned to make with younger Khan Imraan, and he readily accepted to do. But this film’s dates have clashed with Imraan’s other film being directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia. He also needs to spend some time on promotions for his film with Vishal Bharadwaj.

Imraan said he can only do this film if it starts next year. But Sajid Nadiadwala, the co producer wants to launch it in November and Imraan couldn’t accommodate dates by then. Let’s see if they will sort out and find a solution for this problem.
