It became a turf war between the TRS and YSR Congress in Telangana region. The YSRCP, which suffered a blow with the knee injury of its star campaigner Sharmila apparantly chose a novel yet violent, way to stay afloat in the news throughout the day. The TDP’s padayatra and the Chief Minister’s Indiramma Bata were either ignored or relegated to insignificant slots by TV channels and it won’t be different in many local news papers too. Is YSRC preferring controversy to criticism with a view to hogging the lime light in the absence of its mass contact programme.
