Chandra is the upcoming Kannada/Tamil bilingual movie taking fast shape in the hands of director Roopa.

Director Roopa is filming most parts of the film, Chandra in the Mysore Palace, as the story line of Chandra is about the last generation princess played by Shriya Saran. The diva has recently danced for a Jugalbandi number and he crew of Chandra has all praises for Shriya’s performance. “I wanted to utilize Shriya’s dancing skills, since she is a trained dancer and her performance will be one of the highlights of Chandra," says director Roopa.

A model turn actor Ganesh Venkatraman is playing Shriya Saran’s love lead in Chandra and the former will be seen in the role of a US based entrepreneur. Yesteryears actress Sukanya will be seen as Ganesh’s mother in Chandra while Vivek, Vijayakumar and Prem forms the remaining cast. Makers of Chandra are planning to fly to US to film some of the important scenes for the movie.
