Andhra Pradesh has been going through severe 'power crisis' currently and heavy power cuts are affecting all the industries. Even cinemas are being seriously damaged by these power cuts. Most of the theaters in Andhra Pradesh are screening digital prints now. Except for cities only a handful of theaters are still banking on physical prints.

There are advantages as well as disadvantages with the screening of digital prints. Especially there would be many troubles when they go for digital screening during power cuts. Like physical prints, digital prints won't start right from the point they are stopped. The film roll back to certain point and the film has to be rescreened from there.

This not only spoils the viewing experience but also costs extra expenditure for the exhibitors. Also due to power cuts most of the theaters are not using air conditioners to save the fuel while they are running on generators. All in all audiences are not able to get entertained to the fullest due to power problems. This will definitely affect the revenues and limit the number of repeat audiences.
