The Film
All The Best is more like a television serial of a series of incidents that are not properly linked.

The Synopsis

Chandu (J.D. Chakravarthy) is a bluffmaster who gets a bakra in the form of Ravi (Srikanth) who in turn urgently needs Rupees Fifteen lakhs to get his father( Kota Srinivasa Rao) released from wrongful police lockup. To get the money, Chandu and Ravi enter into a Rupees One Crore Fifty Lakhs real estate deal with Razak (Pradeep Rawat) who wants to feel Lucky before the deal is inked. Now, Lucky (Lucky Sharma) is Chandu’s sister. But is there some other connection between Razak and Ravi? Is the real estate deal an eyewash for something more sinister? Finally the story scrambles to a climax which can truly be termed as a perfect anti-climax.

The Performances

Srikanth just goes through his motions in a badly etched role. JD surely can’t manage both acting and direction. The rest of the characters, actually a big unwieldy crowd of characters, have that bliss of blink-and-miss roles. Anisha and Lucky appear not to know why they are there and what they are doing.

The Techniques

The story is made up of a series of incidents copied from other films. The dialogues are meaningless except for the comic interludes. Basically, JD forgot to write a screenplay for this film and left the filmmaking to the whims and fancies of the cinematographer and the editor who made a bashful hash of everything. Music is eminently forgettable. Shoestring budget is clearly evident in the low technical and production values.

The Verdict

All The Best is all the worst of the art and science of filmmaking. If you still want to watch this movie….All The Best!
