Karthi starrer Sakuni is gearing up for a release on July 6. The film has reached the final leg of shooting and the post-production works are under rapid progress. Sakuni is a political drama being directed by a newcomer Shankar Dayal.

The film casts Praneetha of Bava fame as the leading lady and Radhika and Santhanam in prominent roles. Gnanavel Raja is producing the film and Bellamkonda Suresh is making it in Telugu version. GV Prakash is composing the music for the film.

Karthi is said to be playing quite an entertaining and distinct role in the film Sakuni.
