After a lot of action and hero-centric movies , here comes Kondan Koduthan, a movie that speaks about family values and relationships. Director G Rajendran has made a movie on an emotional theme that is interesting to watch. Besides the lead stars Kathirkaman and Advaitha, the film has Ilavarasu, Sulakshana and Meera Krishnan in the cast.

Story

The movie occurs in a village. Rasu (Kathirkaman ) is a kabbadi player and is all set to marry Sevandhi (Advaitha), his uncle Chellaiyah's (lavarasu) daughter. But things take a turn when Rasu's sister's wedding with Sevvandhi's brother fails. This results in enmity between Chellaiyah and Rasu's parents. The family separates.

Performance

With Ilavarasu, Sulakshana, Ganja Karupu and Raj Kapoor on the cast, Kondam Koduthan makes an interesting watch. There are no action sequences or punchlines but the movie has enough elements to make one glued to the screen. Emotional performance by lavarasu is worth a watch.

Analysis

Music is by Deva and the song Thanjavur Gopuram is the catchy one. It appears in three places, Rajendran besides directing handles camera too. The beauty of village is captured well. Produced by P Bharathy and Master Sriram, the family drama lives up due to a good performance by the likes of Ilavarasu, Kondan Koduthan passes muster.
