Agent Vinod has been banned in Pakistan. According to sources, this film shows that country in poor light and hence the government decided to ban it. The distributors in Pakistan were eager to release Agent Vinod but opted out when they heard about some scenes depicting the country in bad light.

Director Sriram Raghavan said that he never meant Agent Vinod to hurt the sentiments of the Pakistanis. Agent Vinod is produced by Sai Ali Khan and stars him and his ladylove Kareena Kapoor as the lead pair.
