Asaduddin Owaisi gets bail

Published on Thursday 24 January 2013 02:56 // , ,

Sangreddy: The Medak Session Court on Thursday granted bail to MIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi in a case of 2005.

Following rejection of bail petition twice by the Sangareddy, the MIM president moved a bail petition in the Session Court. After hearing the argument, the court granted bail.

It may be mentioned that Asaduddin Owaisi was sent to judicial remand for 14-days on Monday after he appeared before the Sangareddy Court in a case registered against him for allegedly abusing the then District Collector Anil Kumar Singhal and his deputy JC Bhima Naik on April 16, 2005 at Mathangi in Patancheru mandal. A non-bailable warrant was pending in the court as he did not appear in the court since 2009.

Following his appearance, the court remanded him to judicial remand till February 2.

Asaduddin Owaisi is likely to be released from Sangareddy Jail in the next few hours.

Akbaruddin Owaisi may not be taken to Nizamabad today

Meanwhile, the Nizamabad police may not produce MIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi before the Nizamabad court today.

The First Additional First Class Magistrate of Nizamabad had earlier directed the police to produce Akbaruddin Owaisi in the court on Thursday in an alleged hate speech case registered against him. However, expressing its disability to bring the MIM leader from Adilabad District Jail to Nizamabad, the police have reportedly sought more time from the court to produce him.

Earlier on January 19, the Nizamabad police failed to produce the MIM leader.

Meanwhile, the Nirmal court is likely to pronounce its judgment on Akbaruddin Owaisi's bail petition by 3 pm.
